Compiz window placement, wmctrl, and devilspie all ignore VirtualBox VM windows. This was annoying the hell out of me because none of the above stuff worked in 10.04. That's why I can't get it to move to the second workspace, there is no second workspace. It seems that there is only one workspace when compiz is installed, which has a greater x and or y dimention, and that you are only looking at part of it at one time.Ġ * DG: 1680x1050 VP: 0,0 WA: 0,25 1680x1000 Desk 1ġ - DG: 1680x1050 VP: N/A WA: 0,25 1680x1000 Desk 2Ġ * DG: 3360x1050 VP: 0,0 WA: 0,25 1680x1000 Desk 1 ( is ( window_name ) "Windows XP - Sun xVM VirtualBox" )Īlso, is there a way to execute a script on shutdown? I'd like virtualbox to shut down automatically when I turn off my computer. pretty much the only thing I could get to work is assigning rotate cube right to the scroll lock key, which virtualbox doesn't seem to use, so I don't have to press the host key. also, when it comes up fullscreen (on workspace 1), it's only 1280x960, not 1680x1050. I've tried place windows and devil's pie, but I can't get it to open on the second workspcace. This is exactly what I'm trying to do, but I've hit some problems.
